Amsterdam – When it was cleared, the Slangenpand, part of the Tabakspanden, was the oldest squat in Amsterdam. The Tabakspanden have since been transformed into high-quality commercial areas with apartments above.
The last retail space was recently delivered to the Daniele Dentici shoe store. The other commercial areas were rented out to, among others; beauty salon Babassu, concept store Hummingbird, nail salon Lakwerk and barber shop Rick van het Meer. In addition, the office space with a creative destination was leased to music label Top Notch.
De Nijs Projectontwikkeling bought the former Tabakspanden at the Spuistraat from Woonstichting De Key in 2016. A total of 1,600 m² of commercial space has been realised, 40% of which is intended for creative and cultural functions.
P van den Bosch Bedrijfsmakelaars supervised all transactions on behalf of the lessor, De Nijs Projectontwikkeling.
